Asian Women In Business (AWIB) celebrated its seventh anniversary at the 2002 Asian Women Leadership Awards Dinner on October 16, 2002. The event took place at the New York Hilton Hotel, located on Avenue of the Americas and 53rd Street in Midtown Manhattan.
The AWIB Entrepreneurial Leadership Award and the AWIB Corporate Leadership Award were given to successful Asian women leaders who have excelled in their business and professional lives, while giving back to the community. This year's award winners were chosen from across the country -- reflecting the diverse and outstanding contributions to the small business and corporate world by Asian women.

AWIB's Gala Dinners have received much critical acclaim, resulting in an unprecedented number of Corporate Sponsors many of whom have supported Asian Women In Business since its inception in 1995. The Seventh Anniversary Celebration also featured an evening long silent auction and a special performance by renowned salsa dancer Winsome Lee.
