Michele Fino
Chief Marketing Officer, DoSomething.org

Michele Fino is the Chief Marketing Officer at DoSomething.org, with responsibility for marketing, brand management, digital, PR & content. Prior to joining DoSomething, she worked at several companies in the YouTube content & Influencer space. Notable is her nine+ years in Sponsorship & Integrated Marketing for FremantleMedia, where she oversaw major sponsorships on “American Idol” and other television shows.

DoSomething.org is a movement of over 5.5 million young people making positive change, both online and off. We run national and global campaigns that make social action more fun, accessible, and impactful than ever.  We know that there is a 13-25 year old right now in our country that will one day, become President of the United States.  We’re working everyday to make social responsibility and civic engagement cool for young people so it becomes habitual throughout their lives.

Michele holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Boston College.  She lives in Manhattan with her husband and their two boys, aged 8 and 6. To keep sane, she regularly does Chaise Fitness, and dips bacon in chocolate sauce.

Chitra Agrawal

Chitra Agrawal is the founder of Brooklyn Delhi, an award-winning and premium Indian condiments line and the author of Vibrant India: Fresh Vegetarian Recipes from Bangalore to Brooklyn (Penguin Random House, 2017). Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Food & Wine, Saveur, and Zagat, among others.  Prior to launching Brooklyn Delhi and writing her cookbook, Chitra spent over a decade working in advertising and marketing for companies including DDB and American Express. Chitra holds a BA from UC Berkeley and an MBA from NYU Stern.

Alice Cheng is the Founder & CEO of Culinary Agents, a professional networking and job matching website designed for current and aspiring professionals in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry.  Having spent years working in a restaurant and then moving on to work for IBM for 13 years in cross-industry innovation, Alice brings her knowledge of technology into the food and beverage industry to solve inefficiencies and gaps around talent sourcing and career development.

Alice is a deeply experienced business, marketing and sales professional who is passionate about helping people build careers. She takes leadership roles in mentoring all levels of talent in the technology, business and hospitality spaces.

 

 

Gurjot Sidhu
Founder & Creative Director, Gurjot New York

A Chicago native and long-time New York resident, Gurjot Sidhu founded Gurjot New York out of her passion to see women professionals advance and succeed in the workplace.

In 2010, recognizing the lack of high-quality, relevant businesswear available in the market, Gurjot combined her experience and interests to design a line of custom workwear that conveys power, style and success. After receiving her MBA from the University of Chicago, Gurjot had a successful career in management consulting for the banking, technology and retail industries, ultimately running her own boutique ecommerce strategy consulting firm in New York City.

Fashion has always been of strong interest to Gurjot. She started sewing pieces to convey her own style at age 7 and became a dedicated Vogue follower at age 13. She continued her fashion education at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in 2009, prior to launching Gurjot New York.


Shunan Teng
Founder & CEO, Tea Drunk

Shunan Teng is the founder and CEO of Tea Drunk, a New York City based tea house that has become a destination for those seeking exceptional tea and tea knowledge.  Shunan is known for her relentless in-the-field pursuit of tea knowledge and her work in preserving Chinese tea traditions.  She travels to historic tea mountains in China every year to harvest and make tea alongside the heritage farmers.  She is an avid educator on tea and has spoken on the subject matter at many institutions including Yale University, World Tea Expo, and Stony Brook University.  Teng collaborated with the Metropolitan Museum of Art to execute a temporary Chinese tea house in the museum and is the educator for TED Ed lesson – The History of Tea.  

Shunan Teng is a Certified Management Accountant.  Before devoting herself to tea, Teng was a successful finance professional who specialized in strategic financial management.  She has led cross-functional projects in a number of technology and energy companies, including Rolls Royce, to streamline processes and cut costs.  She’s known for her ability to effectively cascade down high level financial goals and resources to all functions of a global company, and oversee synchronized executions at operational level.
