Amy Ling Lin
Founder and CEO, sundays studio

Amy grew up in a small town called ChangAn, located in Fujian province, China. She moved to the U.S. 10 years ago to join her father who settled in New York and to continue her education.

She graduated from Syracuse University in 2010 with a degree in retail management, and started working for various retail companies, including Cartier. After two years in the luxury retail industry, Amy decided it was time for a change. A true entrepreneur, she focused on the nail business, but with an eye towards making it more upscale. She launched her first nail salon in 2012 and was able to expand it to locations near Columbia University, employing over 20 employees.

As a strong believer in education and personal growth, Amy studied at Columbia Business School, where she graduated with an MBA in 2016. Addressing complaints about the harmful chemicals often found at nail salons, she spent a year perfecting a formula to create non-toxic professional nail care products. Her vision is to resolve problems within the nail industry by making it healthier and safer for both nail technicians and customers.

Amy opened sundays studio in March 2017, with locations in Soho and at Saks Fifth Avenue.  She has already built a loyal clientele and has received recognition from major media outlets including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Vogue Magazine, and CNBC.
