Debbie Hidajat
COO, PTS America

Debbie Hidajat is the Chief Operating Officer of PTS America, a ceramics dinnerware and furniture business supplying mass retailers in the US. She has had extensive personal and multinational business experience in Asia, Europe and North America.

An entrepreneur at heart, Debbie is a real estate investor, investing in multi-family and commercial real estate in and around New York City; an angel investor and part of the screening committee at 37 Angels, a community of women investors supporting early-stage startups. She is an avid marathon runner.

Debbie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University; then graduated with a dual degree in MBA and MS in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University, at the age of 23.


Marilyn Kane
President and Founding Partner, Iridium Capital

In 2009, Marilyn Kane founded Iridium Capital, a real estate fund management firm. The real estate Fund, Iridium Capital Income and Growth Fund, holds real property in the retail and industrial sectors with long-term net leases in place with credit tenants such as Walgreens, Dollar General, and Fed Ex.

Marilyn began her career in commercial real estate in 1986, after an editing career at Random House and a short stint as a NYC English teacher.  In 1992, she co-founded the commercial real estate brokerage firm, Butler Kane, and in 2007 she became a Managing Director to the national real estate firm Sperry Van Ness. In recognition of her achievements, Marilyn was named as one of "New York's 100 Most Influential Women in Business" by Crain's New York Business, a “Woman of Influence” by Real Estate New York, and one of the top "100 Women Real Estate Leaders of the 21st Century" by Real Estate Weekly.

After her involvement in a landmark child support case, Marilyn formed the NYC Chapter of the Coalition for Family Justice, a child support advocacy group. She currently serves on the Board of the Foundation for Social Change; is a long-time member of AWIB, Association of Real Estate Women (AREW), and NY Commercial Real Estate Women (NYCREW). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University. She is the mother of three adult children and grandmother to two boys.

 

Carolyn Kendzia 
Project Director, Radson Development / Real Builders

Carolyn Kendzia coordinates all components of Radson and Real Builders projects, during both development and construction, including legal consulting, outreach, design and strategy. Carolyn serves as a liaison between Radson and its partners, working diligently to form strong business and community relationships.  Carolyn has led multiple submission teams for HPD’s RFP bidding process, coordinating between various team members to assemble and produce competitive proposals. As a project manager, Carolyn was instrumental in overseeing the construction of the Home 2 Suites by Hilton in Long Island City. Carolyn also currently assists with the asset management of the Home 2 Suites. As a former attorney, Carolyn brings an analytic, detail-oriented approach to Radson’s work.

Carolyn holds a Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law and Bachelor’s of Arts degree from George Washington University. She has also earned a Certificate in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University.


Lisa Lim
Partner, Akerman LLP

Listed in Super Lawyers Magazine 2015, for Real Estate in New York, Lisa Lim focuses her practice in real estate finance and development, economic development, and affordable housing. Lisa has extensive transactional experience including the representation of borrowers, lenders, and government agencies in the structuring, negotiation, and closing of complex transactions involving the acquisition and/or disposition, construction, development, and/or preservation of multifamily and mixed-use developments, condominiums, hotels, senior housing, and public and charter schools. Her concentration has been on deals that are public-private collaborations with an emphasis on tax exempt bonds, affordable housing, and regulatory frameworks. Lisa has served as lead counsel on a number of 80/20 projects and other prominent developments that have helped to revitalize and develop various parts of New York City.

Lisa has a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law; and a B.A. from Wellesley College.
 

Lisa S. Lim

 

Icy Liu
Faros Properties

Icy Liu is responsible for acquisitions at Faros Properties, a private commercial real estate investment firm focused on opportunities in the Northeast United States.  Faros and its predecessor companies trace their roots to family-owned operations that have been involved in real estate for over six decades. She previously worked in Wells Fargo’s Real Estate Capital Markets Group, where she originated and underwrote over $1 B CMBS/balance sheet loans.  She also worked at CapitalSource, Rossrock Private Equity Fund, Extell Development, and UBS Investment Bank.

She received her MS in Real Estate Finance and Investment from NYU.  At NYU, she was the president of the Student Association and the recipient of the New York Women Executives in Real Estate Scholarship and the Schack Institute of Real Estate Alumni Association Future Alumni Scholarship.  She also received the Lambda Alpha Distinguished Service Award and the NYU President’s Individual Service Award.  She graduated with a BS in Operations Research/Economics from Columbia University.
