AWIB Procurement Opportunities Conference

A diverse group of M/WBEs attended the conference for the opportunity to grow their businesses.


Scott M. Stringer, Comptroller of the City of New York, delivered
a memorable keynote speech at the opening session.  


Maya Wiley, Counsel to the Mayor and M/WBE Director was also a keynote speaker and spoke about the Mayor's initiatives to increase MWBE participation.



The opening session was followed by 'Doing Business with Corporate America" workshop. The panelists stressed the importance of preparatory research when dealing with Corporate buyers.


The audience was engaged in the workshop and had many questions for the panel.



MTA, CUNY, SBA and SBS provided important information on the government contracting process at the 'Doing Business With the Govenrment' workshop.


Attendees browsed the displays of a wide range of exhibitors from federal and regional authorities to corporations.


Attendees spoke to the exhibitors to gather information on the contracting process.


Robyn Hatcher, Founder of SpeakEtc. and AWIB Member, gave  pratical tips and techniques for networking with confidence at the 'Take the Work out of Networking' workshop.
