Asian Focus hopes to achieve its goals by helping families overcome cultural and language barriers to better acclimate into US society. The organization hopes to bridge the gaps of disparity for the community by focusing on service projects that yield immediate results, while also planting seeds of good will for future generations.

Carolina Asia Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is the first pan-Asia National Resource Center in the southeastern United States. Founded in 2002, the Carolina Asia Center (CAC) is the University of North Carolina's flagship organization for Asia-related activities and plays an important role in promoting the university's global strategy. The mission of the Center is to positively transform the understanding of and relationship with Asia, and to equip students and others with the knowledge of Asia to assume leadership roles.

Gujarati Cultural Association of the Piedmont is the largest Indian organization in Western Noth Carolina and it's activities have reached 700 families including Asian Indian and other communities. It was incorporated as nonprofit organization on 1994 and serves the Asian Indian community thourgh sponsored events, to include cultural, educational and social programs.

Kiran Inc. is a domestic violence and crisis counseling agency. Kiran provides free, confidential support for survivors of domestic violence, emotional abuse, cultural alienation and family conflict. Their services include a 24-hour crisis line, community education and support, monthly support groups, legal, medical and shelter referrals as well as language and translation assistance. Additionally, the funds go towards helping clients directly through providing them with household supplies, transportaion, hotel rooms, child care costs, medical expenses, counseling and much more. Kiran serves clients from the following: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
