Christina Seid is co-owner and head of operations and marketing, of Chinatown Ice Cream Factory (“CICF”), a long-standing retail and wholesale ice cream business that specializes in Asian-inspired ice cream and sorbets.
Though she has grown up in the business, she formally joined as a partner in 2005. Since joining the company, business has increased to over 35% in sales. She has made CICF a must-see stop when visiting New York’s Chinatown. She has led the company from local retail to sales at large chains including Bed Bath and Beyond.
Christina is also co-founder and CEO of CRS Creative Consulting, a business focusing on developing brand and marketing strategies for small businesses and emerging artists. She also runs and writes for christinaofchinatown.com, the most visited website blog covering Chinatown NYC. Her first children’s book Saturdays in Chinatown was published in 2006. It can be found at CICF as well as locations like the MOCA & the Lower East Side Tenement Museum.
Christina is actively involved in non-profit and community advocacy groups. She has served as committee chair of the Greater Chinatown Community Association's Young Adult Leadership Team, has served as a Junior Board Member of New York Cares, and the Young Professional Committee of Hamilton Madison House. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of Chinatown Youth Initiatives; as a member of the steering committee of The Coalition of the Asian Pacific Americans. She serves on the Young Asian Professionals Committee for the American Cancer Society.
She leads the committee on Young Professionals at Asian Women in Business and has served on the Benefit Committee of AWIB which plans its Annual Leadership Dinner.
