The Office of Small and Minority Business (OSMB) functions as a resource liaison between Georgia's procurement system and the state's small and minority business community. The OSMB offers individualized consultations and conducts regional seminars about the state's purchasing process. They provide financial and management technical assistance to small businesses. The OSMB provides administrative staff for the annual Governor's conference on "How To Do Business" with the state of Georgia.

WEDA conducts workshops to help women (and men) start or expand small businesses, both for-profit and non-profit. Supportive services, like SBA-guaranteed micro-loan origination up to 50,000, also are available. Some workshops are available as distance learning (via the Internet). Workshops are offered in English and Spanish.
