Asian Media Access is a non-profit organization dedicated to using media arts as a tool for social betterment. Centrally located on the Minneapolis campus of Metropolitan State University, AMA is one of only five national media organizations devoted to serving Asian American media needs. Our continuing mission is to Connect the Disconnected: we want to challenge the traditional isolation of Asian American communities by helping Asian Americans realize that the media can be an effective and important tool for communication and education.

The Asian Economic Development Association (AEDA) was formed in 2006 to increase economic opportunities for low income Asian Americans in the Twin Cities by supporting small business and entrepreneur development. Formerly known as Lao Parents and Teachers Association (Lao PTA), the organization changed its name to Lao Advancement Organization of America, Inc. in 2003 to reflect its expanded programming that supports a healthy and engaged life for all generations. LAOA primarily serves ethnic Lao families in the seven-county Twin Cities metro area, with most living in Hennepin and Anoka counties. Secondary audiences include ethnic Lao in greater Minnesota and Hmong in North Minneapolis.
