The Chinese and American Friendship Association of Maine (CAFAM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote friendship between non-Chinese Americans, Chinese-Americans, and Chinese people, whether from the PRC, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, or elsewhere. They promote awareness of and appreciation for Chinese culture and attempt to assist individuals with China-related questions and problems.

VAAM  is a volunteer organization founded in March, 2009.  VAAM serves the Vietnamese community in Maine. Their mission is  to preserve and enrich our culture heritage through social services initiatives, and to promote cross-cultural interaction between the Vietnamese community and other communities. VAAM also offers social and educational programs to young Vietnamese Americans growing up in Maine.
