The Vedanta Society of Arkansas, established in 1989 by a few families, has provided a platform for social, cultural, and spiritual activities for the Indian community in Little Rock and other cities in the close proximity. In addition to cultural and religious activities, the VSA has been involved in many fundraising efforts to provide relief for the victims of natural disasters, such as Tsunami, Gujarat earthquakes, Orissa floods, Kargil war, Hurricane Katrina etc.
