2011 AWIB Annual Conference for
Minority and Women Business Enterprises



New York, NY (June 10, 2011) Asian Women In Business (AWIB) will hold its Annual Procurement Conference for Minority and Women Business Enterprises on Friday, July 15, 2011, at BNY Mellon, 101 Barclay Street, 10th Floor, New York City, from 8:30am to 3:00pm. 

This annual AWIB conference is designed to provide the M/WBE community with resources and connections to make their business stand out in a competitive market.  Entrepreneurs will learn about strategies to successfully approach potential buyers, how best to leverage their assets and ways to secure contracts with government agencies and Fortune 1000 companies. 

The conference will feature various panels which will cover the myriad of opportunities with government agencies and corporations.  A special feature of the conference is a must attend session consisting of successful fellow small business owners who will share their secrets on how to level the playing field and win those prized government and corporate contracts. Over 400 attendees from diverse industries are expected to participate.

Opening remarks will be made by the U.S. General Services Administration Regional Director Denise L. Pease.  A true role model, Ms. Pease is a woman of color who overcome a traumatic brain injury and earned this prestigious post.
