Asian Women In Business:
Summer Ice Cream Tasting

New York, NY (August 11, 2010) - Join Asian Women In Business for a summer ice cream tasting, featuring two Asian American artisanal ice cream makers and their unique concoctions. This sweet-filled networking event will take place Wednesday, August 18th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the rooftop of Ogilvy & Mather, 636 11th Avenue, New York, New York.

Take respite from the summer sun with an eclectic mix of distinctively created flavors including kulfi pistachio cardamom, whiteface mint chip, barkeater, strawberry moon, coffee bean, black sesame, pandan, zen butter, almond cookie and green tea. This multitude of tastes is the brain child of not one but two Asian American ice cream makers, each presenting their own interpretation of the traditional treat.   Sample a few flavors while taking in the Manhattan landscape from a private rooftop. Wine, hot dog sliders and a candy station will also be provided. A little more about our fantastic Asian American ice cream creators:

Adirondack Creamery are themakers of all natural, premium ice cream, which is comprised of locally produced ingredients and is only available in stores within 150 miles of the dairy and farms from which the ice cream is created to reduce its carbon footprint. The ice cream flavors are based on an old-fashioned recipe which does not include any artificial ingredients, whey, corn syrup or
other additives/replacements.

Chinatown Ice Cream Factory was established in 1978 and for over thirty years, has been serving quality, authentic, homemade ice cream with an exotic Chinese twist. A family run business, CICF is one of Chinatown's oldest businesses, and is often referred to as an unofficial landmark.

A special thanks to Oriental Trading Company, the official AWIB Fun Sponsor, for the candy station and So Dam Hot for the hotdog sliders.

The cost is $20 for AWIB members and $45 for non-members. Registration with payment must be received by AWIB, by August 13th. For more information and to RSVP, visit www.awib.org/events, email info@awib.org or call (212) 868-1368.
