2009 Corporate Asian Women's Leadership Conference
Born to Lead: Creating Possibilities
AWIB's Fifth Annual Corporate Asian Women's Leadership Conference - Born to Lead: Creating Possibilities was held on June 17, 2009 at Goldman Sachs in Manhattan. The evening was an engaging experience for attendees, starting off with a reception where they networked with corporate women from a wide range of industries. This was immediately followed by an insightful panel discussion from a dynamic group of Asian women corporate executives. The frank dialogue covered the opportunities, challenges and major issues facing Asian women in the corporate world. These Asian women trailblazers shared personal stories and important lessons learned that ultimately shaped their paths to success.
The 2009 distinguished panelists were Jeannie Diefenderfer, Senior Vice President, Global Engineering, Verizon: Jyothsna Natauri, Managing Director, Investment Banking, Goldman Sachs; Chiaw Eei NgGibson, Managing Director, Enterprise Strategic Planning, Aetna and Alice Young, Partner and Chair of the Asia Pacific Practice, Kaye Scholer LLP. The moderator for the forum was Alina Cho, Correspondent, CNN, who has done an excellent job of guiding the conversation and has been our moderator of choice for three consecutive years.
There was a suggested donation and all proceeds from the 2009 Corporate Asian Women's Conference went to a great cause - The Asian Women In Business Scholarship Fund, which promotes leadership among Asian women in college.
