The Asian Women In Business Mentorship Program aims to match Asian female professionals and entrepreneurs from all industries with mentors who can guide them to grow in their career.

Specific program objectives:

• Create a link between Asian professionals and entrepreneurs to provide valuable guidance in their field of interest and a rewarding relationship for both the mentor and the mentee
• Provide an opportunity to shape and influence the next generation of women leaders
• Provide a mechanism for developing and enhancing networking and organizational skills

Mentee ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates for the mentorship program must be female of Asian (includes those who can trace their ancestry from Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam) or Pacific Islander ancestry.
Candidates must also fulfill the following criteria to be considered:

• Complete the entire questionnaire
• Have 2-8 years of work experience or own a business for a minimum of 1 year, but not more than 4 years.
• Provide AWIB with a copy of your most recent resume or if an entrepreneur, background information on your business
• Demonstrate an excellent background and a strong work ethic
• Committed to mentor for one year and/or at least 20 hours

You do not have to be a member of AWIB to be a mentee but priority consideration will be given to members.

Note: Not all applications for mentees will be accepted. We are selecting based on your level of commitment, answers to the questionnaire, as well as your compatibility with the selected mentors.

Mentor ELIGIBILITY:

Mentors must:

• Fill-out short survey for matching purposes
• Have 10+ years of experience with substantial and progressively more responsible management positions or own a successful business for at least 5 years
• Provide AWIB with a copy of your most recent resume or, if you are a business owner, background information on your business
• Have a genuine interest in being a positive role model
• Be committed to mentee for one year and/or at least 20 hours
