Women's Empowerment: The Experience of Hong Kong

AWIB is partnering with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office of New York, the Hong Kong Association of New York, and the International Women's Entrepreneurial Challenge Foundation for a luncheon at the Yale Club. With diplomats in town for the annual meeting of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, the topic of discussion will focus on the role of women in Hong Kong.

Dr. Chi-Kwong Law, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, is the guest speaker.

Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Met's 12th annual evening celebrating women will recognize five incredible women making a difference in the arts, education, and government, from promoting creativity in our communities to advocating for immigrants' rights.

The honorees are:

Sayu Bhojwani, Founder and President, New American Leaders
Rashida Bumbray, Senior Program Manager of Arts Exchange, Open Society Foundations
Susan Delvalle, President and Executive Director, Creative Capital
Helen Rosenthal, New York City Council Member representing the Upper West Side
Mariët Westermann, Executive Vice President for Programs and Research, The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation
