The Small Business Office of Advocacy fosters the growth of Alabama's small operations by giving them a variety of assistance. The office provides information for and addresses the needs and concerns of small businesses.

The Center is located in the Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence. This is a former school campus, which was purchased and renovated by the City of Mobile and Mobile County. It is now a business incubator and training center. The director of the WBAC is also the owner of the Alabama Women's Yellow Pages. The WBAC provides training seminars and one-on-one counseling.
